Lisa Brooker

LISA BROOKER

Lisa was born and raised in New Zealand and recently moved to the UK. She originally started Pilates to help with conditioning for full-time dancing in both classical ballet and contemporary at the New Zealand School of Dance. Upon graduating she injured her knee badly requiring surgery. Unfortunately this surgery failed and she had another two knee surgeries. This resulted in the end of her dancing professionally. Due to the amount of time in physiotherapy, Lisa then went on to study and graduate as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist. Later doing post-graduate studies in acupuncture and Pilates. Lisa found the combination of excellent anatomy and physiology, injury knowledge and dance minded alignment made for the perfect fit for Pilates teaching. Lisa enjoys training Pilates herself as well as to rehabilitate clients.
